Target Sucks

Well United Artists isn’t hiring so I continued my search for a second job today. I applied to BJ’s Wholesale Club and Target. I already know I didn’t get the latter one. Target sucks and their electronic application thingee is a peice of garbage. You can hardly see the lettering on the keys and even if you can, you have to hit them more than once for the damn thing to even respond. I noticed they had a sign that said “target gives 5% of its profits to charity every week”. Gee, how nice. Why don’t they just say “Target keeps 95% of its profits each week”. 5% percent may be generous, but they could do better, but hey, maybe if they made it 4% they could afford to get some quality “electric applications”. Anyhoo, after that I picked up some applications to Borders, CompUSA, and Bed Bath and Beyond– I am so not interested in that last one, but hey beggers can’t be choosers, right?

Oh, excuse Target, maybe they could be like other companies and give nothing back to the community. I also might mention 5% is about 3 million dollars a week. So let’s join good ol’ Boz in ridiculing Target for their minimal contribution. Three cheers!

Up until today I was a MAJOR Target shopper. Until I saw a cart puller with his tounge wagging pushing a customers cart focused on her rear. She didn’t have but 6 bags in her cart to push. When he was done he totally avoided the elderly woman with a full cart. Maybe if she too was 125 pounds wearing a tight sweater and heels he would of helped her to her car too. When I called the manager told me is that it, anything else? So teaching my son that it okay to sexually harass women is okay. Maybe teaching my daughter that if you are young thin and pretty will get you your way but you have to put up with employees looking at your rear. But, for their manager seems to think that discrimination is not a concern.

    SEVERE EARTHQUAKE IN FRANCE

March 4, 2003. Today it was reported that a severe earthquakes have occurred in 10 different locations in France. The severity was measured in excess of 10 on the Richter Scale.

The cause was the 56,681 dead American soldiers buried in French soil rolling over in their graves. According to the American Battle Monuments Commission there are 26,255 Yankee dead from World War I buried in 4 cemeteries in France. There are 30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France.

These 56,681 brave American heroes died in their youth to liberate a country which is guilty of shameful unspeakable behavior in the 21st century.

May the United States of America never forget their sacrifice as we find ways to forcefully deal with the Godforsaken unappreciative, forgetful country of France!

We should also note that we pay Millions of dollars on RENT for these cemeteries plus the cost of Maintenance, let us remove them (our military dead) and give their damn land back to them.

Check stuff out before you believe it. Target didn’t do many of the things in the above post. They are not French owned; they’re based in Minnesota and have been since they’re founding. Check out this link to read the truth.

Ok, For starters, learn to spell prior to posting your message on the board. Second, If you are unable to fill out an application using a computer, you deserve not to be hired. You seem to be just a poor bastard that is unable to locate a company stupid enough to hire a moron like yourself thus resulting in bad mouthing the co. Now for Todd, All this about the veterans– It is a bunch of crock… Research your data prior to posting it. If you would have done the intelligent thing and researched your comments, you would realize that Target does support veterans in every which way. Your entire article is one that some poor degenerate created for some reason or other without validating any facts.
In conclusion, This page just represents the lower part of the intelligence cycle that are unable to locate a job or lack the smarts to do a few phone calls prior to believing something.

Funny how ignorant people really like to talk shit and lie. Target is greedy for donating 5% of THEIR profits?!?! When have any of YOUR lazy self centered fat asses even donated 1/2% of your income to charity, and I’m not speaking about the “Play with your balls and Asswhole” Charity–real ones for AIDS, CANCER, and other NON-Murderous, non-”low-skilled bastards that always ask for handouts to get more beer” Vets . GET THINGS STRAIGHT! And soldier’s families do not deserve any support for their meat-head,herdable husband/wives going out to sea to carryout out the White Rich Man’s (BUSH) Witch Hunt and Oil Takeover. Instead of being the backbone of this country and saying NO to being used as ponds in Bush’s chess game in “Wars on Terrorism” (Ever notice how none of those terrorists from 9/11 were from Iraq or Afghanistan but we invaded them anyways instead of Saudi Arabi where most of them WERE from??) those soldiers instead fight. I think Target is sending a strong political message through there specific and selective contributions.

All Dickhead Forrey had to do was go to the target website and he would of found this:
    TARGET CORPORATION SUPPORTS VETERANS
    ~ Company is not foreign-owned ~

Since 2002, Target has been the victim of a misleading e-mail campaign. This e-mail campaign grossly misrepresents our support of veterans and our soldiers. In fact, the author of the original e-mail contacted Target in December 2003 to express his regret for sending the initial e-mail in 2002 and to share his concern about the false information being attributed to him. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Internet and e-mail communication, the original e-mail has been repeatedly and inaccurately modified and perpetuated by unknown writers.

The National Veterans of Foreign Wars posted a press release on their website on December 6, 2002 to help clarify this issue and show their support of Target at http://www.vfw.org/news/target.htm.

Target Corporation is a publicly held U.S. company (NYSE: TGT). The company has been based in Minneapolis, Minnesota ever since its founding as The Dayton Company by businessman George Dayton in 1902. Target is not now, nor has it ever been, foreign-owned.

Our company has supported many charitable causes throughout our history, including veterans’ organizations. For years, Target has donated funds and volunteer hours to local and national veteran and military organizations around the country.

    National Charitable Giving Examples:
    World War II Memorial
“The Wall that Heals” 2003-2005 National Tour, a Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund outreach initiative that honors our veterans and has a strong educational component for schools. For more information, please visit the website at http://www.vvmf.org/index.cfm?SectionID=3.
American Red Cross Armed Forces Emergency Services
In addition to supporting veteran and military organizations on a national scale, we also support local organizations.

    Local Charitable Giving Examples
Yankee Air Force Museum in Ypsilanti, Michigan
Hays County Veterans in San Marcos, Texas
Kenny Nickelson Memorial Foundation for Homeless Veterans in Manhattan Beach, California
    Reservist Benefits:
Target Corporation is proud to count many veterans and military reservists among its more than 273,000 team members nationwide. To help support these team members, Target Corporation provides benefits for activated reservists, including pay differential, that surpass the benefits required by law. The Reserve Officers Association has recognized our company for these benefits, and the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve also lists Target on their website at http://www.esgr.org/employers2/outstandingEmployers.asp. Target team members who are activated for military service and were participating in optional dependent coverage at the time of their deployment are eligible to continue these benefits if they choose. Target Corporation also allows any Target team member to continue benefits as provided by the 1986 Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA).

    Giving Policy:
Target gives to diverse causes that reflect all types of guests in a wide variety of communities. While every cause is worthy, Target receives thousands of grant requests every year and unfortunately, we are unable to grant funds or partner with every organization. For more information that describes the guidelines and the application process, click on Community Giving or visit any Target store and ask for the grants brochure.

    Marines Toys for Tots:
Target greatly respects the good work of the Toys for Tots program and all the volunteers who make this program a success every year. Target has a longstanding policy of no-solicitation by any group or organization at our stores. This policy includes the use of our store locations as collection or drop off sites for any type of activity. Target has this policy in order to be consistent with the numerous groups that request access to our stores and to provide our guests with a comfortable, distraction-free environment. Our solicitation policy does not diminish our commitment to our communities. We support the communities we serve in many ways, donating more than $2 million per week and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours each year to non-profit organizations nationwide.

Target Corporation wholeheartedly supports U.S. veterans, reservists and active-duty personnel and their families. We are proud of our record and remain committed to continuing support of veterans’ organizations as part of our overall charitable giving program.

    This is completely true.

Target Really does suck. But not only to apply there, but to work there.

Basically, the application is to prove that you are not clinically insane, which i thought before that not being held within a mental institution was proof enough that i wasn’t insane.

But now i realize that proviong that your not a crazy is part of their statistics report, because about 95% percent of the workers become insane after eating their intoxicating pretzels.

Working around pretzels all day, and then being ridiculed by my thunder thighed boss, is way below my qualifications. Hell, i was more qualified in the first grade than most of the backroom employees, wait “team members”, that can hardly speak english.

Now heres what confuses me, when i have to miss a day of work because they unjustly scheduled my entire wekend away, IM the one who has to find the replacement, but they wont give me even the name of a single other person trained for that certain job. When i asked how i was supposed to find a replacement, the answer i got was “make friends”. Now, i’ve been yelled at countless times for socializing. How does one manke friends without socializing? Maybe i can choose a friend based on hair color.

So in my closing argument, i state “fuck target”
