There is no need to cut down trees to make people safe. And to the contrary, cutting down trees makes people LESS safe by contributing to erosion, flooding, landslides and climate change. The only thing cutting forests benefits is the logging industry.<br><br>I hate the whole people versus trees argument because trees are NECESSARY for human health.<br><br>By the way, fires are much more likely to happen in areas that have been cut over, since cutting out the big shading trees leaves lots of space for the much more flamable brush and undergrowth to take over.Rarknoreply@blogger.com
