Favorite Movies

I want to take the lists off the sidebar, as they've been up forever and it's just boring now, but I don't want to lose the content, so I am making an entry about it...I will explain my lists too.

Favorite Filmmakers
1. Robert Rodriguez: by far my favorite, he does it all, writes, directs, edits, costume design, scores, he's the man.
2. Steven Spielberg: Indiana Jones would be enough, but then add Jaws and Schlinder's List...and you mustn't forget Back to the Future!
3. Kevin Smith: Chasing Amy is his best film, fuck you 'Mallrats' fans!'
4. Quentin Tarantino: number one on the writers list (didn't make one, so poo), and will probably climb on this list...after inglorious bastards comes out.
5. John Woo:Pre-Mission Impossible II only.
6. David Lynch: I have no clue what's going on in his movies; I have to watch them several times. Movies are meant to be watched.
7. Barry Levinson: This guy is underrated and doesn't get the press he deserves.
8. John Waters: His movies are just weird...but not the David Lynch wierd, you can still tell what's going on.
9. Darren Aronofsky: When I originally made this list, Requiem for a Dream was still kinda new...he's an emmerging great, but hasn't had a followup yet...hmm
10. David Fincher: He made Fight Club and the newer but not quite as good, Panic Room.

Favorite Films (all time)
1. American History X: one of the mosts powerful films about racism ever made. this should be required viewing material in all high schools.
2. Donnie Darko: okay, it's recent, but I like the ideas in it...and it's funny.
3. Fight Club: hit me as hard as you can.
4. Full Metal Jacket: Are you quitting on me? Well, are you? Then quit, you slimy fucking walrus-looking piece of shit! Get the fuck off of my obstacle!
5. Pulp Fiction: FOOT MASSAGES DON'T MEAN SHIT!
6. Cool Hand Luke: What we've got here is a failure to communicate.
7. Requiem For a Dream: most depressing movie ever. see this movie if you are too happy.
8. Reservoir Dogs: great way to show a heist gone bad...but what the hell is a reservoir dog anyway? it's never explained...haha
9. The Untouchables: You wanna get Capone? He sends one of you guys to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. That's the Chicago way, and that's how you get Capone!
10. Run Lola Run: Girl must save her boyfriend, three ways to do it.

Favorite Films (2002)
1. Road to Perdition: Can he a keep a secret? He's my son.

Favorite Films (2001)
1. Memento: !year the of movie best
2. Mulholland Drive: WTF?
3. Vanilla Sky: Another remake, although it was stupid to remake this story, it was still pretty good.
4. A.I. Artificial Intelligence: The ending was kinda overly dramatic and stuff...but the movie is still strong.
5. The Others: I never saw the ending coming. It was so unpredictable. I mean, who'd a thunk it?
6. Moulin Rouge: God, I hate musicals...but I love this movie.
7. Bandits: Entertaining.

  3. Very nice list. I don't know if I would call Requiem for a Dream all that depressing. I think it's probably the best anti-drug movie out there. I can't say that I feel depressed by it, just extremely motivated never to do any drug harder than caffeine. I think The Usual Suspects deserves honorable mention.
